Baked chocolate oatmeal with cherries.

Chocolate and cherries are a wonderful combination, especially in pastry and desserts, so I thought to myself why not even combine these flavors together for breakfast. And oh yes! What a winner! Starting the day with a protein and fiber-rich dessert? Of course that's possible! And (if you keep the yogurt, protein powder and milk, plant-based) the vegans among us can also enjoy this!

Ingredients:

1 large or 2 small portions:

Porridge:

  • 100 ml water

  • 100 g Pitted cherries (frozen).

  • 50 g Natural yoghurt of choice.

  • 40 g oatmeal

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder.

  • 15 g Chocolate protein powder.

  • Pinch of salt

  • 10 drops of stevia chocolate flavor. (You can also replace this with sweetener of your choice)

  • Almond flakes to finish

Chocolate sauce:

  • 5 g cocoa powder.

  • 15 g milk of choice.

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

  2. Mix oatmeal, cocoa, protein powder, baking powder and a pinch of salt in a bowl.

  3. Add the water and mix it together.

  4. Stir in the yogurt and sweeten with stevia or sweetener of your choice.

  5. Take 1 large or 2 small ovenproof dishes and spread a little oatmeal porridge first.

  6. Arrange the cherries over it (and the drained juice) as follows and cover again with the remaining porridge.

  7. Garnish with the almond flakes.

  8. Place in the oven for 15 min.

  9. For the sauce, heat the milk in the microwave for 30 seconds on the high setting.

  10. Stir in the cocoa powder into it, you can always add some extra powder if it is still too runny.

  11. Dress the sauce over the dish(s) and you're done!

Enjoy!
